Whom will Left propitiate? (06-08-2008)

Anyone will simply rebuke if he/she is told that the concept of private enterprise in the post-independent period originated first in Calcutta. The erstwhile second city of the British Empire managed its sway in the national economic scenario till the beginning of the 1960s. However, the political skirmishes and unsteadiness in the later decades ailed the state of Bengal along with its capital city and aggravated the industrial climate completely. But the forces instrumental for all these are now in power and appear to be the greatest votary of industrialization!
